    I just made the first cut on fabric from a kit for my granddaughter's baby quilt and cut it 1/2 inch too short!!! Yikes. Guess I will splice the end. I hate it when I'm stupid. Duh!!

    It happens to us all. Yes, splice it and in the end it will not been seen much or make any difference.

    I'm back on here reading because I just cut 2.5" squares that should've been five inches! To me it means put the cutter down and try again tomorrow, LOL.

    Lessons learned - yesterday I learned that I need to keep my cutting table neater. While cutting one fabric, I sliced a hole in a nearly one. At LQS prices, that's an expensive error.

    If you press your seam well, it probably won't show.
