Congratulations, Deonn! You should be very proud, both of your son and of yourself. I read a book recently called Once Upon a Town. It took place during World War II, and talked about how the people of Platte, Nebraska met every troop train that came through their town. For ten minutes at a stretch, they made those soldiers feel valued and honored. They couldn't do much, but they could make pies. They could serve coffee and ice cold milk. They could give up their precious rations to tell someone else's son that he was loved.
