Now how fun was that? You should hold them all in hiding untill they are all finished.

I told them I would make any pattern I had already made, or I would make one they found, if it was one I thought I could do. (I have only been quilting 2 years.)

They selected their patterns, and I printed a copy of what they selected and wrote a "recipe" for the quilt on each...how much fabric was needed.

We met for lunch and went to a fabric store afterwards. It was so much fun. Three of my friends are my age (63) and the fourth is 32. (We are all English teachers who taught at the same school. Two of us retired...) My friends had the best time selecting fabric. One, who had just had skin cancer removed from her face, had the biggest smile as she came to the cutting table with her choices. It was like little kids in a candy store.

I now have four projects ready to go. I am not hurrying, and I told each they would have to be patient. But I really can't wait to get started.

This is going to be fun!

    You are a great friend!

Oh, I intend to show off the finished quilts! I am finishing one for another friend first and making one for myself before I start any of theirs. I told them they would have to be patient. I'm the impatient one, as it turns out, as I really want to start NOW... Of course, I am the one who made my "rules," so I could always change them.

I've just got this great fabric that I must make a quilt out of for me. I'll take a picture. Isn't it unique!!

Phooey, I hit send by mistake. Suppose I shouldn't be eating chips and drinking Dr. Pepper as I type? The picture will get on here as soon as I wash my hands and get my camera,

Okay, here is the fabric I can't resist. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I will figure that out when I finish the quilt I am on. I am one of those folks who can only work on one project at a time. :)

Looking at your Avatar and then looking at the fabric for YOUR quilt, I get why you're going to make it first - LOL! What fun cat fabric!
