My Mom, daughter-in-law and I are going on Thursday to pick out the material for a quilt my DIL wants me to make for her friend as her present for her baby shower. She is buying the materials. I take it as a compliment that DIL likes my quilts well enough to want one for a friend. I am looking forward to a fun day out for just us "Moms".

Thank you for that statement about teachers follow directions!! Because we do, so that's why we can become good quilters

That smile is worth any thing you have to do. I agree it would be fun to let them help you cut the fabrics and have a tea party as you enjoy making them. See, you can still teach them to quilt.

I just bought the fabric one week ago at a small fabric/quilt store in Graham, TX. They had it in four colors. I would think it would be available online somewhere.
I resisted buying all four colors. :) Just bought blue. Once I get the finding on the quilt I am finishing, I can start mine. I can't wait.

Flowerjoy, I (cleverly) read the information on the selvage and googled it. I got this site. http://www.pbtex.com/html/coolcats.html There are WAY more than four colors, and there is coordinating fabric.

On the selvage it sasy Cool Cats by Ann Boyajian/Lilla Rogers Studio for P&B Textiles.

This sounds like a chance to have one on one time with each of your friends if they could help with some of the easier tasks to start their respective quilts! (miny quilting bee)
