Fall colors are more attractive to men who, I've noticed, are apt to buy raffle tickets for quilts with the excuse that their wives would want them to!

Would like to ask you about the chickens, please give with the "other story". I have a lot of chicken fabric, designs for applique and embroidery but lack nerve to make a chicken quilt. Thinking in terms of tablecloth while preferring to think quilt. Thanks

    I like the reversible idea.

I would go with Christmas, people are starting to think about it in September.

I agree, you can use from Sept until Dec. 3 whole months!

I live in a pretty diverse area where people practice many religions so the answer for me would obviously be FALL....I'd say that it depends on your area.

I have been trying to decide what theme to use for a fundraising quilt - thought about doing a set of twelve seasonal table runners - but I do like the idea of doing a "fall/autumn" colors quilt as it could be used for more than a few weeks. Another thought was to do one of those quilts I have seen done in soft subtle shades of beiges, creams, tans. It would go with just about any decor.

I would go with autumn, there are many, many items I see for Christmas which can only be used for about a week. Autumn goes on a long time and I don't see as much autumn things as I do Christmas. Autumn items can also be used for Thanksgiving

it would depend on what the fundraiser is, for example, if it is for your church, then you would be safe for a christmas pattern, however if it is for kids' school, or other stuff like that, i would go with autumn, coz not everyone celebrates christmas...just being fair.......

I would also go with autumn for the reason that it can be used many more months than a Christmas quilt.
