fundraiser choice: Autumn or Christmas, opinions please
#62
I may be odd but I would never buy an autumn quilt, simply because it would not match any rooms in my house- Nothing against those colours in leaves, but not anywhere else for me.
I like clear colours so, even in November, I would be much more likely to buy tickets/bid for a gorgeous jewel coloured quilt than Either an autumn one OR a Christmas/winter one.
Just to make things more difficult!

Thanks all, I loved reading your thoughts, insight, comments. The fundraiser is for the family of a co-worker who recently committed suicide. There will be a variety of his friends and family as well as a large number of co-workers from his almost 30 year career. very sad.

I would spend a LOT more on a quilt that would be useable all year long, i.e., light weight, non-seasonal colors than I would on a seasonal one. I would go for beauty totally before I went for a color scheme.

if it is not being sold by a religious organization, please do not forget there are those of us out here who do not celebrate Christmas. While I love seeing Christmas lights on the streets, it is NOT my holiday and I would not ever buy anything related. Sorry if I'm huffy, but I often feel forgotten during Christmas season and Christmas discussions and Christmas parties, etc etc. I'm probably one of the few who like "Holiday" parties, that way, all of us on this wonderful Mother Earth can join in.
