My aunt sent me some funky material that is cream and metalic gold woven. It is rough on one side and like a sateen on the other. I was thinking it would make really pretty holiday placemats and table runner. Then I started thinking I migh want to use some to make a quilt block table runner with some red cotton prints, does this sound ok? or would that not be ok? i mean, The rough side with the gold would be he one showing. bu would the sateen hold up ok you think?

Im going to try i anyway but I figured I would ask first rather than waste the entire piece of fabric

You could use a light iron on stablizer on it first. :) Pam W.

Need pics. And I too would use a stablizer. I did when I did a fancy four patch. Now what happened to that quilt? I think I gave it away.
