[QUOTE=carolaug;4834590]So many gadgets out there that we use once or twice and throw them in the closet never to be used again. I tried a seam ripper today that will be glued to my hip...love it...I made a sewing mistake (surprise)..time to try out the new seam ripper from Mighty Bright. This seam ripper is AWESOME. It is totally worth it. I love the magnifier. what a huge difference. and love how the seam ripper can rotate. It really does make ripping out seams a breeze and I can see what I am doing. Having a light on it is a nice bonus!
Sounds great but at the cost I hope it stays sharp a good long time.

Two things: A $3.00 stylus I bought at the LQS and a cotton tweezer made by clover, for pulling out the thread after the ripper has been lurking about. My friend gave it to me as a birthday present and it saves my fingers big time.

On item is the "Add a quarter ruler" - great for paper piecing. My turntable cutting mat is another very handy item. I guess the item other than the sewing machine that I use the most is my "June Taylor Press N Cut" my daughter gave me for Christmas a few years ago - one side is for ironing, the other a cutting mat - I live in a townhome and my kitchen/living room is my sewing area, can't really keep the ironing board up for ironing the blocks as I complete them, this little mat is ideal.
