I was in Gainesville, FL recently and couldn't find any quilt shops. I may be heading back - are there any shops in the area?

Really nice quilt shop in Trenton with a cafe! West of Ocala/Gainesville. North of Gainesville in Lake City are TWO nice quilt shops.

There are no quilt shops in Gainesville any more. The only local ones are the Suwannee Valley Quilt Shoppe (http://www.suwanneeshops.com/quiltshoppe.html) in Trenton which is about 30 minutes from Gainesville out West Newberry Road/SR 26 or Button and Bows in Alachua (http://www.buttonsandbowsquiltshop.com/) which is about 20 minutes north of Gainesville.

Beginning this weekend, Buttons and Bows will be closed on Mondays. Their website doesn't reflect the change yet.

Let us know when you're coming to Gainesville and we could all get together.

Out 200 in Ocala is also Peggy's Heirlooms. I will have to check out Alachua. Thanks for the more exact names/locations. My favorite so far is the Quilt Shop of DeLand. Only because of the owner and staff - outstanding and FUN!

I occasionally visit Lake City. I know Fabric Art Shop, but I thought the other shop had closed. Pls let me know what the other one is so I can hit 'em both next time I am over there.

The second store in Lake City is Amygene's. They moved last year. They're near the Burger King on Main. What messes anyone up looking for the store is it's name: Amygene's Embroidery Studio (http://www.amygenes.com/1.html).

In Bellview??? Whipperwill Station is on 441 South of Bellview - or is that still Bellview? It is like going into a library, but a good selection of fabric. It sounds like a few gals in this area. Maybe we could all meet at a LQS one day!

Thanks. Next time I am in Lake City I will look them up.
Also -- I would be interested in any get together in Lake City/Gainesville area.
