    Has anyone done these? I don't do well at applique, but lordy, these are so dang cute.

    The patterns are here if there is someone that isn't sure what they are:

    Also, I saw they are starting a doggie one too, I may have to break down and try it.

    I dont know if these are the same as the Story Quilts patterns, which were the original garden cat patterns, but they are very cute.

    I have the one called Avagato..its on my to do list...

    lol that's my baby. He's a year old now and still smiles like that, sometimes big smiles too. Aussie Shepherd Red Merle.

    I started the dog one. The first one was for Dec., then I had to wait till March for the second one. I heard that the lady was still writing the patterns for the dog ones,so there is a wait for the next ones. We didn't know this, when we signed up for this BOM. I got the first one done, but have been busy with baby quilts, so haven't started the second one.

    My friend did the cats and they are adorable...I'd use lite heat bond and then machine stitch around each....no hand applique for me...

    I doing a class where we are making the Garden Patch Cats. We are using SteamASeam2 and it works well.

    Your pup is beautiful. I had an Aussie Sheperd Blue Merle and she was fantastic. Unfortunately I lost her a couple of years ago, but, am still looking for another one.
