    Default Genie bobbin washers

I have a Janome 6600. I have bought the "blue dot" bobbin, but it still doesn't give me the right tension I need for FMQ. I was wondering if the genie washers will work in a Janome bobbin case, and if so, do they really work? Thankx in advance for your advice!

What's wrong with your tension? Are you sure you have it threaded right both top and bottom?

I have the 6600 and the blue dot bobbin does seem to help. I also tried the bobbin washers, but found no benefit.

Bobbin washers are for back lash and don't really do anything for your tension. That all has to do with your bobbin tension spring and your top tension. If you tend to get loops on the underside of your quilting and you have a metal bobbin casing that does not have a bobbin spring - then a bobbin washer is a good alternative! What it does is when you stop or start or move very quickly sometimes your bobbin will spin after you've stopped and create little loops. The bobbin washers in the right bobbin case will prevent that. Good luck!

I use the Genie washers with metal to metal bobbins. It stops the static build up. That's all it is for.
