    27 degrees in Florida?!!!!

    Please don't hate me, but right now it's 65 degrees in Denver, CO. So sorry.

    No problem! At least Florida only gets 2 wks of this normally and no snow. LOL!!

    Thank you. I just got back with the binding and... no bumble bee appliques..had to get butterflies instead. I guess they'll work too. The way this day has gone, I'm lucky they had the butterflies! LOL!! I might even set up and try again tonight! :-)

    I was too tired to work on it last night, but this morning I got up, put some brownies together to warm the place up & went to work. I am happy to say, 2 pretty little butterflies are placed at opposite ends as mystery surprises (Only one is covering a hole)& the binding now goes all the way around the quilt! Even the corners behaved this morning & are ready to be hand-stitched down to the back of the quilt! If I didn't have yet another dr. appt, it would be a wonderful day!!!

    Put a little applique on the snipped spot. Learned this from a lady who did trunk show for guild. She uses an acorn to cover errors. Now she puts an acorn on every quilt. Her trademark. Don't worry about lack of fabric. Substitute another piece in binding, just like you did it intentionally. Multi fabric bindings look great. The person you made it for will love it. It is truly gorgeous.

    Thank you. I put butterflies in a couple of spots. One covers the hole, the other is to make you think it was done on purpose. This whole quilt has just been one thing after another. This morning I got it so all that's left is some minor hand-sewing of the binding down on the back. It looks so much neater to me to hand stitch it down. It actually doesn't look too bad. The last yd of binding is a milk chocolate color to the rich dark color I'd started with, but I'm not going to say a thing! It's nearly done & I'm just going to be happy to wave good-bye to it! LOL!! Maybe it's given me enough trouble that the baby quilts (4 of them) will go smoothly. :-)

    I love your quit!! Especially the way you fussy cut the flowers for the centers of the churn dashes. You've done a great job.
