I couldn't think of a better gift! You took the time to actually make something to say thank you and that's what makes it perfect and special. I think it's adorable so if she doesn't want it I'll send you my address. ;-)

I usually give what I would like to receive. This shows your creative side and yes, I would love to have it. Give it to her. She may throw it in the closet and may take it everywhere. After it leaves your hands it's no longer yours. Chances are she will feel the same way about it as you. At the very least you have said "Thank you" in a very personal way. Your time and effort tell her that you appreciate her. I love it just the way it is. Wouldn't change a thing.

Absolutely.... it's adorable.. and much nicer than something "cookie cutter"... she is going to LOVE it... would like to hear the reaction after you give it... what a great idea wrapping the body around the bag..the mix of colors is so much fun.........that is what makes artwork, WORK!!!! thanks for sharing..

I didn't read through all the pages of comments, but my first reaction was, "How cute!" I love the tilt of his head and the print in the fabric almost gives an expression to his face. The only thing I think it needs is a narrow band of color around the top. The bag background is so neutral, which is great for the dog, but I think a touch of color near the top would finish it off. I'm ONLY suggesting you add it if you can just stitch it over top of everything. If you have to rip out to do it, it won't be worth it! The bag is fine without it, but I think it would be a nice finishing touch.
