My husband worked for Fiskars in the 1980’s ~the power conditioning division. He sold UPS units for computers, etc. They gave scissors away with “Fiskars-the cutting edge in power” stamped on the blade covers. I’m still using several of those and have given many to family and friends for gifts.
I don’t think they are related to Gingher unless it’s a very recent join.
“For over 54 years, Gingher has been recognized for their premier line of cutting implements for home sewing, crafts, needlework and industry.
By the time our scissors leave our factory in Greensboro, North Carolina, they have been touched more than fifty times by our own craftspeople. It is for this reason we can truly say, "from our hands to yours."

I have nothing against Fiskars cutters or scissors I just seem to break them offten! The last two the button/handle to "open and close" them broke and they were stuck open 99% of the time.

I personally am not fond of the Gingher rotary cutter. It seems too heavy. And it doesn't have the self retracting blade like my Fons and Porter one does. I love that one! And it is a heck of a lot cheaper!!

I have a Gingher and I like it fine. I also have a Dritz and I like that fine too. The Gingher has a good weight to it. The Dritz cutter has an automatic "cover" for the blade when not cutting. So I like them both for different reasons.

I got mine on e-bay for a little over $20. It was brand new, with JoAnns price tag still on it - $70! Never opened. I get my blades at JoAnns with coupons, but honestly I've rarely had to change the blade. They are so strong and stay sharp. If you go for one, make sure you get the correct on - right handed or left handed. They are different.

I have all the Gingher scissors and love them so I bought the rotary cutter too. I find that the Gingher blade does not last as long as the Fiskars blade so I am back to using the Fiskars and the $69.99 rotary cutter sits!

Hi, I have a Gingher Rotary Cutter and I love it. I didn't have to buy one, I won it at my fall quilt retreat, lucky me!!
The price was left on the box, I was shocked when I saw how much it cost. It was donated by a quilt shop in TN.
Yes, it will take any brand blade.
Go for it!!!!! Your worth it!!!!
