I have been wanting to do one with ruffles. I bought the book, but probably didn't need to. You have to finish both edges on a long strip, then sew it across the quilt, ruffled. Lots of ruffled rows.

Here is one I am working on, it is a panel. The little purses are a side piece within the panel and appliquéd at the intersections. I am using an extra one to put on the label. I just added the one border. It is taking a little longer as I am hand quilting around each square, each purse, top and bottom of the ric-rac and each dress. I am highlighting the features of the dresses, like around pockets, etc. So far the daughters like this one best.

Chose girly fabric and add some bows or hearts and your favorite pattern and you can't miss

I was asked to make a girly girl quilt and found some lovely Robert Kaufmann Roses fabrics. The pattern I used was Bento Box (see my avatar for another version) and a white fabric with pink roses, a pale pink paisley, a pale sage paisley and the background fabric has pale taupe roses on cream. Quilting design was heart-shaped leaves.
