Giving up "too much" for quilting?

I give up nothing but a tad of depression. Quilting puts me on a new 'high'. After all, I am using up some of my endless stash, I am gaining a new piece of art, and I am insulating myself from some of the other stuff that goes on around the house. I am off to new heights when I quilt. Don't bother me with mundane stuff!

I've given up a business and a marriage!
Well, that sounds worse than it was. He bought the quilt shop as a dumping ground for me; when I figured that out, I lost my heart for it, took 2 years to get the shop closed, and then agreed with his demand for a divorce. I actually don't give up anything these days except free-spending fabric shopping, which, with my stash, isn't a necessity anyway. I've gained so much more than I've ever given up!

The house stays clean since there are only two here. Laundry gets done, folded but not always put away the same day. But thats not because of quilting, its cause I am too lazy.....LOL
And meals get cooked, I cook at home alot to control our fat intake.

Computer and TV time. Which for me, is a good thing.
I've also given up having a "perfect" house, but again, a good thing. The counters are clean, the floor is swept. The bathroom is (mostly) clean! :D :D :D
