Glide is my main quilting thread in my Gammill, the quality and price can not be beat. For custom quilting, it does not build up as bad as other brands. Almost no tension issues. Just be sure to always have a nice fresh needle.

You can buy directly from Filtec. Go directly to their website. I too love their thread. I have a Handi Quilter and use their thread exclusively. Love the rewound bobbins to. They hold twice as much thread, more then my M bobbins hold.

I use Glide thread too. I use the Glide Delights prewound bobbins. Try the color Cleopatra. It works with so many quilt top colors. It may look like a dull color but it blends great.

Once I found Glide & tried on my Handi Quilter, there is no going back to cotton thread. Almost never any tension problems top or bottom, shows on quilt top beautifully, doesn't build up when traveled over, almost never ever breaks. I use Superiors "Bottom Line" in my bobbins with Glide on top. Price wise, the best way to go, I can buy so many more colors to have on hand.

    Is Glide different from Isacord?

If you don't mind the sheen Glide thread is excellent, and the price is right. Another good one for really dense quilting is So Fine by Superior, but the price is not so fine

Yes. Different manufacturers, probably different manufacturing techniques.
