I just clicked on it and got all the way to checkout with no message of discontinued. I use the glue method all the time by just barely opening the Elmers tip. Works fine.

Well, slap my face!! I didn't see that. The ones from Lee Valley look like they work only with those squeeze bottles. Oh well, sorry for the wild goose chase!

I've watched several youtube videos where the quilter recommends using glue to help with sewing seams. Is this recommended by any of you? Am I missing a step in my quilting experience??? LOL I'm getting ready to create 6 masterpieces for family members, all will be Civil War themed quilts and I want to know if gluing certain areas will make the seams come out better?

I ordered mine from Overstock.com, but haven't used them yet, so can't say how they perform.

How many ounces do the bottles hold? Are the tips metal? Do the tips have covers to keep them from drying out?

Do the tips have screw tops to keep them from drying out? I can't seem to find answers on the site.

    Thank you very much.
