    Default Gluing Jewels to fabric

    Hi Everyone,
I am looking for an adhesive for gluing jewel embellishments to fabric. I used Aleene's Jewel-It. The jewel stuck but can be put off easily. I want to put them on a tipi for my grand daughter. I don't want her to be able to get them off. Any suggestions "All Knowing Ones"? You are always so eager and helpful. Thank you for your thoughts.

You need to look at embellishments with adhesive on them, such as hot fix crystals. Here's a site I've ordered from before:
    http://www.suessparklers.com/
There is a special tool that you can use that heats up the crystal and activates the glue, however, if you are just going to be doing a few, you can position the crystal and just use your iron to heat it up. One of those small clover irons works well

I do have a heat gun to put the crystals on projects. It works well and they are permanent, the name is EZ Glitzer Applicatiom wand. It works real good.

Try Dazzle Tac glue you can find in the jewelry making section. It holds pretty strong.

I've used FabriTac and had some success gluing fabric to fabric without any lifting. A blouse I embellished MANY years ago and LOTS of washing and drying hasn't loosened the bond, you might try that

Thank you all for your advice and expertise. I use E6000 and it worked very well. I appreciated all your efforts. That is one of the reasons I love this Board!
