    Default God's Eye quilt block

Here's one of those blockhead mistakes I seem to be getting notorious for. The big center block is a 20" God's Eye block from Quilters Cache. Looks good. I decided to make some 12" blocks to go around it and then maybe even some 8" blocks thrown in. Boy, I was just having a fine time making them and putting them up on the wall. But something just didn't look right...Well, the 12" and 8" blocks are no longer the "God's Eye" block. How I did that I'll never know. So my questions are: would you change the big block to match the others? And do you know if the "variation" has a name of it's own? Thanks in advance for your input!

It's the same basic block, just colored differently. I would leave it as-is. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

Very true Dunster but changing the center makes it look totally different.

I like it the way it is, so I wouldn't change it.

I wouldn't have noticed it without you putting them side by side. I would leave them as they all look lovely.

Looks great as is... I didn't even notice....and, the variation in block looks cool. This will be an awesome quilt when done.
