What shops should I visit when I am there. Anyone know of good quilting and sewing stores?

Back Door quilts is a favorite of mine. There are two that are fairly new in the Heights. The Bernina store on Grand Avenue is also a nice one to go to. Have a great time here in Billings. If you need coupons for Jo Anns let me know.

Wow!!! I live 20 minutes from Billings and go there about twice a week!!!
Let's see...starting in the Heights-there is one on the end of town (I will let it remain nameless, contact me PM for name) that you want to avoid. This is the one that when she opened, I went in and found bolts marked at $7.99/yd (really reasonable) but when you looked at the tag next to it, it was from Walmart and said $1/yd (clearance) and it was the correct bolt!!!
Then, there is Mountain View Quilt Shop! They are the bestest for prices!!! I think they start out at $8.20/yard, maybe cheaper....they are the best prices in town! Very nice ladies that own it-Lorna and her mother (her name escapes me right now)...super helpful! Only open like 10-3 5 days a week (I think) but if you call, they will be there for you!
There is Backdoor Quilt Shoppe on the west end, a great shop to visit. A lot of fabrics there and big and roomy!
There is Fiberworks on the West End. This is a very nice set up, large and bulging at the seams with a little of everything!Laura Heine owns this shop-she has designed fabric that is out on the market!
There is Bernina Sewing Center-hosting the best, cheapest and fastest turn-around time for repairs in town. Stefan and another gentleman are really great! The gals that work their are super nice amd helpful!
There is Sewing Center West-they don't carry very much fabric (last time I was in, but a nice shop. (mostly machines)
There is Billings Sew & Vac....mostly a machine shop, but a wall+ full of fabric! Fabulous people!
We also have a JoAnn Fabrics, Hancock Fabrics and Hobby Lobby all in a triangle within about a 1/4 mile!!!

Those are all the ones I can think of at the moment....

Oh yeah, and both of our Walmarts carry fabric...not as much as they used to, but they have some!
And, there is Trackside quilting in Laurel (about 15 minutes from the West End of town) never been there, but heard it's nice!

Yes, I live on the edge of Billings, about 2 miles from the Heights Wal Mart. So we aren't that far apart. You will have to give me the scoop on the unamed quilt store. Although it is close I haven't bought anything there, yet and maybe I won't if that is the kind of thing they do.
