I was just in Lancaster today on my way home from business meetings in DC. I went to Intercourse and hit Zooks, Old Country Store and Bitty Kinnas. Then went to Quilt and Fabric Shack (used to be Lapps Dry Goods) down the road.

I started to head home but made time to stop at Wooden Bridge Dry Goods in Kutztown. Another great Amish shop.

I spent $219 and got 35.5 yards of fabric, so I am happy. I will try to post pictures tomorrow.

    Have a great time!

We are heading that way next Wed for a short visit. Thanks so much for the suggestions. I was also told of a store called Cedar Lane Dry Goods in New Holland, PA. I'm told it's the best place/prices for replacement rotary cutter blades.

I don't think I have ever been there Yankee Quilter. I am adding that to my list of places to check out. Thank you for the suggestion.

I am not sure of the times of the hop...Just remember nothing is open on Sunday in Intercourse. The shops are all closed on Sundays.

There is no official hop that I know if. Wouldn't that just be awesome if we got there and found there is one?? It is just me and a few of my quilty friend going off for a day to drool over fabric and such. DH gave me CASH last night. Is it SAT YET!?!?!?!

For those who love the Lancaster area, I'm the coordinator for a "Treadle On" gathering there in June (10th & 11th) in the little town of Blue Ball. It's for people who love "people-powered" machines (treadles, handcranks, etc.). We have classes throughout the day, a raffle, selling tables, a quilt block swap (done in advance), food, fellowship, etc. etc. etc. It's a great time (I THINK this is our 3rd year). Last year we had about 60 total show up (with hubbies included). If anybody's interested in joining us, send me a PM!

Love it there and I am there quite often. I live an hour west of Lancaster.
