Zooks is great and good prices. If you want to get some good buys (but watch for "flaws" on the really inexpensive bolts--like $2.00/yd., go to Sauders. If you go in Zooks, they are a "sister shop" and they have directions. It is not "in Lancaster" but near an entrance to the PA Turnpike. It is worth the trip. They have some good sales and also good buys for backing material. It is just a quaint place. We are going to Lancaster in Nov. Sue

Lisanne: Where in central PA are you? I am from Shamokin, PA (about 70 mi. N or Harrisburg). Most people here in VA kind of "smile" when I say I am from Shamokin. :D My husband walks around the quilt shops with outstretched arms, just waiting for bolts to be placed on them.

Yes Rose I would love to take you there and rejuvenate your love of the art.

Ok I will look into Intercourse too. HUMMMM that didn't sound quite right did it? I will have to prep the hubs. His patients is thin sometimes. usually after the third place he is done.
Could you find somewhere else for him to "entertain" himself (like a hardward store, or a TV shop  )? I know how it is when DH comes into my kind of shop with me.

Peel: The name of the other quilt shop is Sauders. It is near Burkholders.

I am so sorry that I did not see this thread before K left for Lancaster this weekend. I was just there the last Thursday in August and I went to The Country Store, Zooks, Sauders, and Burkholders. And boy, did I buy a lot of fabric!!! I could have given her directions to all the shops.

K, I hope you had a great time-----let us know how your trip was.......
