Default Going on my first Shop Hop!! Yea!!

My niece and Sister asked me if I wanted to do a shop hop that starts today in the San Diego area! I have been wanting to do this for ages, but not by myself. Today we go to our first stop up here in Ramona, and tomorrow we are spending the day hitting as many as we can, and finishing on Friday. I can't wait!! I guess there is a drawing at each shop, as well as a block pattern. I think there are 13 shops, or something like that. Anyway, gotta go get ready! Yippee!!

I hope you had tons of fun. Yes it is a lot more fun to hop with friends. Hope you found lots of neat fabric. It does tend to get a little overwhelming by the 2nd or 3rd day

Well, went this morning to our local LQS, The Crazy 9 Patch, and ended up spending over $100.00!! What got me, was after finding a great fabric on the clearance rack (which, by the way there were 2 shelves of fabric for $5.99!! I got 2 yards of a great Robert Kaufman fabric), and feeling rather proud of myself for not over-indulging and letting those toxic fabric drug fumes entice me to buy more, LOL, I noticed a table of patterns and included were all but 1 of the McKenna Ryan Bird House series "Home Tweet Home", and I was seduced!! I gave in!! I couldn't believe I did that!! Should have left the credit card at home!! The only one that is missing, she is getting in for me! I have drooled over those patterns in the Keepsake catalog for ages, but just couldn't bring myself to splurge-but actually having them in my hands did me in! Might have been a bit less expensive thru Keepsake, but I HAD THEM IN MY HANDS!!! Besides, I felt better spending that after they let me spend a day there using their big tables in the back so I could baste a queen size quilt last year. Tomorrow, we hit as many as we can and finish up on Friday. There are 14 shops, so lots of ground to cover!! If this is what I'm in for with the next 13 shops, I'm in trouble!! BIG trouble!
