Didn't you see this yesterday? My feet hurt, I'm hot, I'm thirsty, I think I need to sit down for awhile. I know even if they don't complain I have to ask, are you hungry, tired, need to rest? Nope, not for me. I go there to get my quilt motivation, my shopping, my quilt time. I drive there about 5 hours away, I park the car at Hancock's and stop by every so often to put my packages in the trunk. I ride the shuttles to every quilting stop. When I'm ready I go to the motel for the night. If you have the chance to go, GO! One day I might not be able to drive or walk all day, or have the means to go so I'm going while I can. I don't want to look back and say why didn't I do that when I could.
My husband loves watching me be happy. he likes going to quilt shows and looking in amazement at all the hard work people do. I am 37 and he is 41 and it's funny to see the seasoned quilters talk as we pass by. My hubby always wears camo and sticks out, too funny. But we have a BALL! And other than planning meals and/or snacks (he is newly diabetic) he won't be any trouble. i already told him how much I plan to spend, and I am sure he is doubling that in his mind! LOL he is also VERY handy at carrying things.

I am very interested in going to this quilt show as my 71 year old mother lives a short distance from Paducah (Central City) and she has never been to one. What do we need to do? Do we need to make reservations for any shows or can we just show up and do what we want when we get there? We won't need hotel of course, but I want to do everything we can! thanks for any help you can throw my way.

My DH is taking me. He stands in line to pay while I move on to the next vendor. He also enjoys the quilts. This year I am excited because I have a friend with a quilt there.
We live a few hours drive this year, so with no motel bill I think that means more money to spend.
