    More Pictures:

Some of the galleries where the show is held.

You'll also see groups who wear silly hats (this makes it easier for friends to find each other in the crowds)

Eleanor Burns at one of her shows.

The little painted Featherweights are terribly expensive, but they are absolutely quilters eye candy. (I have a plain black one that I gave about 1/3 of what these cost, but they still make me drool)

The last image is in the lobby of the Convention Center. some of you were asking about what to do with your packages. The left side of the image is the package check where Paducah Volunteers (in the red coats) will make sure all of your treasures are kept safe and out of the way.

Here's one more...After Eleanor's tent blew away in a thunderstorm, she's moved to an old firehouse. Much nicer than the muddy fairgrounds!

Be sure to watch out for Quilt Man and his trusty sidekick Bobbin. They are quilter superheroes and ride their segways around town. https://www.facebook.com/paducah.quilt.man?fref=ts

There will be an Underground Railroad quilt show at the Hotel Metropolitan. The Metropolitan is now a museum, but was once the hotel where black entertainers and dignitaries stayed in Paducah during the segregation years. The museum will also be hosting a fish fry, I believe.

Here's some more pictures...lots of shots of the galleries, the Egyptian tentmaker sewing, the YoYo ladies, Quilt Man and the Paducah banner that you can take your picture in front of.

Here's the info on the Grand Rivers quilt show. These are not the 'competition quilts' but mostly quilts that regular local quilters have made. http://www.grandrivers.org/grand-riv...ilt-show.shtml Audience votes for best one. This is right across the street from Pattis 1880's restaurant. http://www.pattis1880s.com/

Unfortunately I will be on a bus tour and have no way of getting around unless the shuttle goes there. I have heard great things about Pattis 1880's restaurant.
