Tomorrow is the day. What should I look for? Are there any new neat gadgets or new fabric lines?

Gadgets! Latest & greatest gadgets! They look great hanging on the wall! I don't trust buying fabric from some vendors unless I can actually feel the fabric. Too many times I've gotten home & it's very very poor quality fabric. Of course you have to look at all the quilts & critique them! Take pictures. T-shirts from quilt shows are most of my wardrobe! I probably have 25 t-shirts (can't wear half of them any more!) but that is the time I buy t-shirts. How many vendors? you definately have to do all the vendors. Send pics for us to see. AND ENJOY

I love vendor demos and seeing the quilts displayed in the vendor booths. The bigger the show the more prep you need to do. Wear comfortable shoes and take a big tote bag. Take some preprinted address labels. They will save you a lot of time when registering for give aways/door prizes. I bought blank labels to print adding my email address just to use for quilt shows. Be sure and get a business card from each vendor the card will come in handy months later when you remember something you saw.

That's some good advice about the labels. I always have the comfy shoes on and we are planning to be there for about 6 hours so should be able to take in alot.

How true. I also take my camera, a very small water bottle that I can fill up at a water fountain, and only as much money as I am comfortable spending [and sticky notes on my credit card and check book] . Remember to ask for permission before taking pictures at vendor booths as some don't allow it.

Going with friends makes it even more fun.

    Enjoy!

Enjoy the heck out of it! Lots of eye candy and all kinds of things to touchy feely. You will meet lots of neat people. Quilters are the very best.

Usually lots of good stuff to look at and inspire. I agree with all above suggestions.
