What fabric would you recommend for a quilt that is shinny gold? Doesn't have to be like glittering gold lame, just definately gold. Is there something in 100% cotton that you know of?

Check out Hoffman's gold pearl fabrics. It's an iridescent quality they add to several fabrics in several of their lines (Gypsy Princess is one). If you google 'Hoffman gold pearl' you'll get a lot of ideas. It's hard to explain in that it's not an all-over thing. It's sort of outline-ish and highlighting...but definitely gold. Quite nice really, not gaudy looking.

Thanks... I used Gypsy Princess in a giant dahlia and I love the silver shimmer. I'll take a look at their gold ones.

Wow that's a gorgeous fabric and I bet the puter pic doesn't do it justice! I think I would like to get close up and personal with that one. What my DH wouldn't give to hear me say that to him.

You might look at the Fairy Frosts. I know there's a gold one.

    That fabric is beautiful!

I forgot about fairy frost. I'll have to see if there is something like I have in mind.

I bought some cotton lame from JoAnn's and used some as an inner border on a gingerbread man quilt. in bronze.

Cotton lame sounds interesting. I am thinking of really gold, like gold rings. I'll take a look for it.
