So - - - I met this lady and got to talking and told her that I quilt. She said that she sews but doesn't quilt and mentioned that she needed a machine. I explained that I had a Singer from the early 70's (Futura 900) and that if she wanted it she could have it. She said that in exchange she would give me "boxes" of cotton fabric. WOW! What a great exchange, right?

So DH and I drop the machine off at her home and all she has for me is maybe 2 yds total of fabric. Sort of disappointing, but I'm still feeling so good about giving her the machine.

It truly is better to give than receive.

Very thoughtful and generous think of it as paying it forward.

My Dad always said a person is only as good as their word. You will be blessed for keeping yours and the other woman will have to live with her actions. Or, maybe I should say lack of.
