Oh, jaciqltznok! The temptation was too much! I checked out "stitch-n-frame" and now I have 12 yards of backing fabrics in the mail on the way to me! Thanks (I think)!

This is just 2 blocks alternated. A nine patch and. . . I should know the name of the other one - but I can't remember! I am sure someone will post it soon!

I ended up buying from Connecting Threads. I ordered 5 yards of a clearance fabric. Of course it was on clearence becuase they must not have much left. When I looked at it yesterday it is not even on the web site anymore. I got a call the other day asking if I still wanted it becuase it was not in a 1 cut of 5 yards but samller pieces. Fine with me at that price - it will be for the background anyway. They called to ask and were very very nice.

I can't wait to get it. I am hoping by Monday it will be here!

I got my Connecting Threads fabric and I LOVE IT!!!! This is truly my first purchase not from Joanns or Walmart. Just the feel of it is so different. 5 yards plus shipping was only 18.00.

Thanks for all the advice - now I just have to get getting on the quilt!

The new fabric is the white with pale pink. I am using that as the background.

Connecting threads is a really good bet for a nice white fabric and it is made in America.

Love the background fabric, and I love the pink too. It will be a gorgeous quilt.
