Is this a good fabric choice for One Block Wonder?

My "go to" gadget for auditioning fabric is a hinged plastic mirror. This makes checking out prints fast and easy. You can find these in a quilt shop or make one using duct tape for the hinge and 4x5 pieces of mirror. Was one of the best for the dollar I have ever spent.

I am going to do a S&W quilt from fabric that has much more white in it than yours does. However, it will be appliqued on dark fabric and will make up for that, I hope. I have done four now and I think it will work well. Just be choosy about the setting and the colors to accent it. One of the prettiest ones I EVER saw had a low contrast and it was made into stars after stacked. It was gorgeous and I keep looking for fabric that will generate the same effect.

I have yet to make a OBW but have a piece of fabric with a white background. Just wondering, has anyone used one of the colors from the starting fabric in a figured blender to add to the other blocks? I have been wondering if this would work to make the color in the quilt more intense. Like the idea of adding a solid color strip to the triangles and using a intervening "blank" block. Always such good ideas

I found an online kalidascoper and was able to get some nice variety by clicking on different areas. http://www130.lunapic.com/editor/?action=kaleidoscope
