GOOD NEWS 1st: I answered an ad on Craigslist, the lady wanted $10 for quilt tops. I thought can't be very good
ones. When I arrived I asked "Do you have any left?"
She said, "you are the only one who called & you can have
what you want for $5. each. They are pretty nice so for
    $31.00 I got:
1 king top with matching backing (pink & burgundy)
1 full top (white with nacy moons)
1 twin top (white with navy poka dots)
1 backing with Navaho design ($1.00)
1 box bow ties cut out (white, blue, & yellow)
1 box squares cut out (pink orchids & mauve solids)

BAD NEWS: Answered another ad on Craigslist that I could
not believe. Lady had a featherwight with case for
$25.00. I thought cannot be correct. Well it was but
another lady had called before me and she had 1st
rights. I begged and offered her more, but she said
"NO". The other caller got the treasure for $25.00.
    $25.00.
I wanted to CRY, I have wanted one soooo long

What a wonderful CL experience on the first one, and how painful on the second.
I hope you keep looking and believing, it'll be there someday!

Yea for you on scoring the quilt tops. I do feel your pain on missing the Featherweight. $25 is just an unreal price!!!!

Those tops were meant for you, the machine was meant for someone else. I actually admire the seller for keeping her promise to the first person. I have been looking for a feather weight too so I feel your disappointment. I believe that someday we will both find our featherweights and will be even happier when we do. I would love to see pics of your quilts when they are done.

I agree with Gramma Nan. As much as it's hard for you not to get the FW I like knowing some people won't compromise their values to make a buck.
    Your day WILL come!! :D

After getting the quilt tops and backing for such ridulous prices, I would say you one good deal for the day, two would have been too much. Maybe whoever got the FW needed a good deal in her life also.
Cheer up and keep looking, your good deal is out there, you just need to find it.

At least you got a good "haul" from the first add.
