Its brand new.....classes and warrenty included. I have a Bernina 930 from a million years ago, and its just not stitching like it should........parts are scarce for that model, so I'm trying to convince myself to take the plunge before I retire! :-) Thanks everyone for your feedback!

Price seems pretty good! The 440 is due to be replaced very shortly....the new series will be the 5 series.....One of my employees worked on them in Texas ....Loves em! You may want to wait...a bit see if prices drop further.....or compare to the new machines...and make a decision then....I predict a lot of 440's will be traded in! In any event.....its a fantastic versatile machine. You will not go wrong if you get this machine! Good Luck!

Is it new or used? If new its a good price normal anyway and if used i think its too high. They are coming out with another series as OC says so I would wait on it..

I would check out what they would want for one with the embroidery module. I paid 3800 and got the embrpoidery and the BSR with it... Just a thought.

Thanks for all of your input........think I will wait this out for a bit.....the sales associate made it sound like the "deal of the century"....which always puts me on guard. Will wait until the new machines are out, and see how they compare. It will give me some time to stash away some money, as well! Thanks everyone! Happy stitching!
