I have an opportunity to purchase a Bernina 440, including walking foot and stitch regulator attachment ( I was told the regulator alone is $1000??) for $2700. Fair price? Thanks!!

It does not have the embroidery module-but I really have no interest in that right now....perhaps a later add-on. There are 7 classes included with the purchase, and a 2yr warrenty, etc.

That's about what I paid. I felt it was a good price.

Do you get some lessons with that? Support from the store staff? I think that's of value, specially with mastering the BSR.

Go for it, I love my 440. It looks like a gopod price to me.

Is it new? With warranty and classes? I paid $1900 for a 2.5 yr old, low mileage 440 with BSR (unused) and walking foot, no embroidery module back in February. I got a one-year dealer warranty and classes (which I haven't taken). At that time, it would have been $3300 new. While prices have gone up a bit, $2700 seems too high if it's used, but a good deal if it's new. Good luck with your purchase!

If it's used, have them show you the stitch count and how old the machine is. I do sometimes see the BSRs on SewItsForSale for $400-500, NIB. I do LOVE my 440, btw.
