Mark the sizes and put them in a quart size baggy and before you know it you will find a use for them.

Sharyn Craig has some wonderful ideas for using odd blocks. also works for exchange blocks where none of them are the same size, etc. Her books are great.

save it for a rainy day and when you have enough of those rainy day blocks you can then put them all together in one pretty quilt.

I have enlarged the block to work with the quilt before. I added another 1/2 inch border around the block of the colors of that come in the block, then add sashing between blocks. Nobody could tell it wasn't part of the design.

My mom took leftover blocks and added them into a teddy bear for my newlywed kids. They loved having another keepsake along with their wedding quilt. The ones who didn't get one are now asking for one. I had to really hunt for the fabric scraps! The first one won't be getting one because I have used every scrap from their quilt!

you guys are so great with all these suggestions! guess just needed to put my thinking cap on but sometimes helps to hear stuff from others and other ideas. many of those ideas were probably in far recesses of my mind but sometimes just get "quilters block"!

I make pot holders with my goofed up blocks & I have also cut them up and added them to crumb quilt blocks.

When I mess up on a block, I use it on something else, our use every piece of it in applique. I just can't afford to trow anything away. God bless.
