When I was living in NC it was just an hour or so away and was always tempting.

Janice, I am so glad you were able to experience Mary Jos. When you get home, you can order from there online and sign up for her newsletter, We love Mary Jos so much that we are moving to Gastonia in October.

You would have a ball there, take a lot of money or a credit card. I was there one year when a quilting guild came in from western NC. They left with about 11,000 dollars worth of fabric. I had some of the same material that some of them had purchased, and was pleased that they saw what I saw in the fabric. I was new to quilting that year.

I went there last year and spent $400! a record for me. Do recommend that when you go, if you see something you like, buy it then! I bought a couple of yards of a batik and when I got home, decided I would like some more! Sent them a pic and found it was already gone! And it was a very full bolt when I bought it. Gone in two days so just shows the turnover they have. Love their prices and their selection is mind boggling! Can't even go near there until I save up again - ha!
