I am really jelious. I was at mine yesterday and they said that they were all getting rid of the fabric departments. I think that the older lady doesn't know the whole truth. but that is just me. I would make an effort to keep buying from them.

Cinnya, that is cool!! No matter, my MIL is German, although she has been a US Citizen for probably 52 years now, she still has the accent and I sometimes have to figure out what she is trying to say. My husband's BIL works at the same tire industry you speak of.

I think it will all depend what the response from the shoppers will be.

Unfortunatly, they are still in the process of removing the fabric dept here in the Tulsa area. The one on Kenosha and 145th has gotten the ax. All the Wal Marts near me have long discontinued fabric. I was in Hancocks on Monday, been a couple months since I was in there and was shocked at how high the prices had gone up. WM has removed any competative pricing.

Our WM is remodeling and I did see the precuts. Some are really cute, not too bad fabric, and reasonably prices. The charms and jelly rolls only have several cuts of the same few prints, tho. I have been thinking about trying one of the bag kits.

MrsAlshadah, when we were stationed at Roosevelt Roads, I remember how hard it was to buy quilting fabric! There was one small shop in Caguas that had a few cottons, and Walmart, but most of the shops only had fancy stuff.

From my understanding that is what they were suppose to do when they took out the fabric departments but most of the wal-marts did not do that. Just concerned about the quality of the fabric. How is it?
