I wish someone had done this with me. My mother was a fabulous seamstress but when I was small she worked. I just started quilting at 72. I could have been designing quilts instead of unproductive reading or watching TV. This is time spent with you that your grand daughter will always cherish. You are giving her a treasured gift that will keep giving as long as she keeps using your gift of sewing.

How great is that? As a true quilter, don't we give away most of our quilts? Beautiful Granddaughter! Looks like she has her quilt inspector in training. LOL

Loved this picture story. Her teacher will treasure this quilt - make sure Madalynn signs it. Madalynn reminds me of my daughter - now 46 - always, always had a cat in her pictures.

I envy you. I wish my granddaughter was close enough that I could teach her to sew.

Your granddaughter is beautiful and her quilt is amazing. If I was her teacher I would be honored to have it.
