She started this at the age of 7,finished it at 8. I bought her a sew machine when she was 4, started her sewing strips of fabric. She is giving this quilt to her 2nd grade teacher. Tried to talk her into keeping her first quilt, to no avail ;( ..She is now ready for another quilt.

God love her. The quilt is almost as pretty as she is. Tell her how proud of herself she should be. I am proud of her. I will show my granddaughter this and maybe she will be ready to do hers. I like tied quilts also. This is great you should be a proud grandmother. BrendaK

What a great quilt, I know her teacher will love it. And she already has a quilt inspector, I see. She is well on her way.

A wonderful first quilt. What a joy to be able to share your passion with her. Your GD has a big heart to give away her first quilt, a true quilter's heart.
