same here. My daughter has no interest in quilting or sewing. I purchased my grand-daughter a sewing machine when she was 7. her first project was a jacket made from a sweatshirt. We made ours together. matchine sweatshirts. I made mine, she made hers. I told her she would only sew her finger once. She is now 20, having her second baby and sewing up a storm. I'm glad to have a part in her adventure. :-D

That is darling, & it is wonderful that she wants to learn your talent.
I'm also the 'lone' quilter in my family, w/none of my daughters, or grand daughters having any interest. BUT I have an 8 yr. old great grand dgtr, who is showing an interest. She recently made her 1st project, a pot holder for her mom for moms day.
We are just beginning a sm. memory photo lap quilt for her parents for Christmas. (I'm doing the photo squares). She's been practicing on scraps getting a 1/4" seam straight) She has a 2 yr old brother & I plan to have them both put their hand prints in a few of the blank squares. I've been picking out pics on my computer & today will cut out the squares & sashing. (not ready to let her do the rotary cutting yet)
Fortunately they live right across the street, so is convenient for her to be able to come over a few hrs at a time. (such a GREAT BLESSING for me)
Have a blessed day & may all your quilts be filled w/love.
