I loved the Brandy video and did several of the others.

One question: is the thread "doubled" and then tied or do you use a "single" thread?

Are you hand stitching or or you using the templates and whipping them together?

Thanks for the link, I watched her video and got some great hints about the way to put them together. I do the whip stitch and cut my fabric into squares and baste to the template but will definitely try her way of doing it. They are most addictive, I take them with me and work on them while waiting for my grandson to come of of school, they are so portable and easy to do.

I do the whip stitches to join them together. Very tiny, just catching a couple of threads of the fabric, and very close together. A matching or blending color of thread works well. The hexies I have been making are .6...just over a half inch...will be darling...but only doing a dozen and appliqueing them onto squares. Don't think I have the patience to make too many of them that small.

I use Inklingo to print out the templates directly onto fabric, then you cut your fabric out and hand piece - no cardboard templates involved. You hand piece on the wrong side of fabric and your stitches do not show.

I use the ladder stitch and I get much better results than when I whip stitch...these little pieces are so addicting....

Well spoken by a fellow Texan native. Way to go!

I use single thread. Also use the ladder stitch...more secure.
