Hi, there is a section where you can actually purchase the precut papers of the different shapes. there are free downloads of some of the shapes. I don't like working with the printer paper. it's too flimsey and doesn't hold the corners well. My opinion. Anne

I also have been wanting to do one of these. I was in my LQS (which is not so local!) and found a stamp for the hexagon pieces. I got the starter kit which was the ink pad, a one inch hexagon stamp, a one inch diamond stamp, and a booklet. I am hooked. The stamps are available online from the gal who designed them. I don't know the exact web address, but just google Stamps by Kate and it will show up. The starter kit came with a burnt sienna colored ink and I needed a lighter one as well, so I went to JoAnn and bought a white VersaMagic stamp pad with my 40% off coupon. Much cheaper than the 8.95 stamp Kate sells.
Anyway, with this method, you just stamp the back of the fabric, heat set, cut out and then sew along the stamped lines. No pressing around a little paper shape, no basting stitches to put in and then remove. Awesome! And she sells lots of other sizes and shapes for hand piecing. I have been digging through my stash looking for fun colors to stamp! My other projects have been suffering. LOL

Hi Guys,
If you have a sizzix they do hexagons in 1 1/2" 2" and
2 1/2" dies.... they cut 4 - 5 shapes a time and you could put through 4 pieces of paper at a time...! Templates in Minutes!!!
Hope this helps.
