My sister took an old quilt our grandmother had made tht was in much the same condition as yours, she found a simple stuffed cat pattern, and cut out the usable parts of the quilt and made us all stuffed cats out of it. Then she put a little label like a collar on the cat, with the information about the quilt. They are treasured by all of us.
