Thanks to everyone for their good wishes for my grandson, and for my DH! My grandson just turned 5 and now will be able to start kindergarten with the rest of his class, instead of being on bed rest to recover from a surgery. My son and daughter-in-law are on cloud 9! The sock monkey has a bandaid on the back of the velcro to keep the "wound" closed, but I've offered to "suture" it closed. Wonder which option grandson will choose? Thanks again for all your support and to Joanie2 for the backing!

Aw..........your story brought tears to my eyes. My nephew was born with 2 heart problems and had several open heart surgeries as a baby and his latest one as a 17 year old to replace a part because he had outgrown it. I am ever so greatful for the doctors and nurses who have given him his life over and over again. He is now in college and doing great. I hope this baby does as well. They are little miracles.

I've attached 2 photos of the quilt and the sock monkey I made, with a repaired heart tucked into a velcro pocket on his chest. The best part - the doctors did a heart catherization procedure, a much less invasive procedure, and discovered no problems! The original echocardiogram evidently was in error. He was born with Tetrology of Fallot, a deformed heart and had major surgery when he was 6 months old and blue, to reconstruct his heart. Today is my husband's 70th birthday and he said this news was the best present ever!
IT COULD HAVE BEEN AN ERROR OR IT COULD BE OUR GOD DID ANOTHER MIRCLE ON HIM.I AM SO GLAD HE IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT.THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS
