I have never heard of this either but I love new tools so will probably check it out when it's available.

I purchased one about 10-11 years ago. I was disappointed as it was not totally accurate. It seemed there was a little too much side-to-side play with the blade and after 3-4 cuts I had to sliver trim the edges again. I also noticed if you cut with the blade say to your left to sliver trim raw edge and then flipped ruler around so that the blade was to the right and placed a line on the ruler at the 2" mark it did not line up across the fold .. so I wonder if it was the ruler that was off or the blade? A couple of my quilting friends experienced the same problem... maybe we got a bad batch?

I hope the new ones are more reliable.

I purchased this several weeks ago but used it for the first time yesterday. I am delightfully impressed. It cut the layers like a hot knife through butter and there was no slippage or wobble of the blades at all. I was a bit sad when I had to pull out the ruler and regular cutter for my small pieces.

The lines are easy to see and all of my strips were uniform and neat. I think this is the perfect solution to straight cutting.

I have one of the original ones that I got when we closed our Piece Goods shop in Oak Ridge Tenn.. We boxed up the unused and opened supplies and equipment from craft classes and sold by box to employees cheap like $5.00 per box and it was in one of my boxes. I saw one for sale recently at a Walmart and they said they just got it in but looked like old packaging to me.
