You could use Steam a Seam 2 . Add it to the new block. Then applique it useing a zig zag stich ( not a tight stich) to one of the blocks on the quilt . I will do this when useing a small logo on the front and applique it on the back logo of the t-shirt. Post pic's when its done. Good luck.

Make a large muslin bag for the quilt and put this shirt on the bag.

Rather than take someone elses shirt off could it be appliqued to the back with a lable?

I would hand sew it to the backing of the quilt to make everyone happy.

Make a label out of it and stitch to back. If you take out someone else's t-shirt, then they might be offended and you're right back at square one. It's a very nice thing you are doing, please don't stress out over this.

Amazing (well, not really amazing or surprising) how the person that didn't send a shirt in on a timely basis is most apt to "be offended" if that shirt isn't included.

orangeroom says:Or a pillow case to match the rest of the set! You could then fold up the quilt and gift it in the pillowcase!

In my mind, that would be the easiest thing to do. That way you can pretend you are "showcasing" that particular shirt.
