What a great deal! As mentioned in a previous post, sign up on the Accuquilt site for their mailing list to be alerted to sales. Also, you can use the less expensive Go! dies in the studio. You will need the adaptor:

Lucky you! I have the Go! and love it. The first quilt I cutout using the Go went together beautifully and I was sold! You're going to enjoy it!

That certainly was a super buy!! By the way..the Studio dies are much more expensive than the Go dies BUT you can buy an adaptive filler sheet (for lack of the proper words) that will raise the dies so that the Studio will cut them fine. Call or go on line and check it out.. A friend of mine also has a website that she buys Go dies for lots less than the official site. If you'd like I can find out for you.

I started cutting the 2.5 strips here with my Accuquilt and love them. They come out so nicely. I got a bonus right before I retired so I bought myself the electric GO! I really love it too!!! Cranking the original GO was difficult on days I had flares with Arthur's visits so I'm now a two fisted Accuquilter. Need to decide how to eliminate the original GO but the dies I won't sell (that's a real bummer). If anyone wants to PM me about it I'll be happy to talk to you.

I did the same thing. Bought the Go then got the electric Go. Gave the Go to a friend. She will get her own dies.

BTW: I have owned my Studio cutter for probably 8 yrs...only recently did I learn that when cutting strips you should cut LOF for strips to prevent wavy strips when stitched. The intial demo of the product at MQX was done WOF with the fold being at the top of the die nearest the rollar so the fold was included and you would have 40" inch strips. in order to do LOF folded fabrics I will have to cut on LOF fold line to have 2 - 40 l inch pcs of my fabric. then fold it end to end and use as above to cut. I've always hated the wave in my stitched 2 1/2" strips and all these many years later I find out the demo I received was wrong...bad bad bad...
ps..can make as many cuts of 20X40 inch section as needed to do the job you plan. I usually cut 8 layers of fabric at once...just rolls easier than doing 10 layers. hope this makes sense.

I saw that Paper Princess (I think) mentioned the adapter for GO dies, there is also one you can get for Sizzix dies from AccuQuilt's sister company AccuCut.

I hope you get a lot of use out of your machine, I use mine all the time, for so many different things.
I also watch AccuCut and AccuCutCraft for sales. I was able to get my alphabet set for 50% off years ago, and I've never regretted it once!

Hope it serves you well. I bought one and 3 different times had to send back the big roller due to RUST. After the 3rd time, I told them to keep it I was so frustrated. I had die sets not even open and they would not refund my money due to the length of time. No one in my quilting group/friends would take it off of my hands. Does it cut well, absolutely, I even had a table made for it , had a shelf underneath it with spindles to hold upright the die sets. So much money gone...
