had a good month in August
First I got a new Singer sewing machine "gifted" to me(Not just new-to-me!) Works great compared to my 62-year old Singer portable. I love the way it threads, first one I have had that does not have that skinny wire in the upper thread tension, that I have managed to break on every single machine I have ever had. Also found out it does not need any oiling except under the bobbin! Wow!
Then I went to an moving sale where the woman was a quilter. While there wasn't any fabric (she got rid of it some other way), I got 2 cutting mats, a few rulers, a vintage Log Cabin quilt top, a few small WIP's and a full size Star quilt top with backing and binding, 3 full size quilt battings, & 3 crib quilt battings. I rummaged around in some totes until I found the rotary cutters and got a handful of those too! Now I have 10!! All for $20.

I just love hearing stories like this! I frequent garage/yard sales as often as I can. It was on my agenda this morning but I got lazy and did some quilt blocks instead and never even got dressed. It is going on 5:30 in the afternoon and I am just getting cleaned up so no garage sales for today. Next week for sure. With the holiday there may or may not be many.
