I would talk with the bride and ask her opinoin. Make sure she knows that you will not be offended if she prefers a different quilt. I think it is important to include her since she made her opinion known about your daughter's quilt. BYW: it is beautiful!

I think it is important to include her since she made her opinion known about your daughter's quilt. She would just have to wait a little longer for hers. BTW: it is beautiful!

I think it will work, think of the maroons in her room as sunset on the ocean

I think that was just a hint that she would love for you to make her a quilt!

If she doesn't act like she loves it then you have a legitimate reason to take it home with you.

I am sure that she will love this beautiful quilt, especially when you explain that it represents the water, sand, and sunshine. I would use it--on my bed or another room and think of you each time that I grabbed it. I am sure that she will appreciate all of the hours and dollars that went into making this. GET "ER DONE!! and give her to your friend....she will love it!!!!!!!!

That is really a beauty. If they don't like it, perhaps you could say I will make you a rag quilt if you want to trade. I think they will love it tho'

If such a beautiful quilt was given to me, I'd repaint the room to showcase the quilt. It's beautiful!

    THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH!!!!

I weighed all the options presented and decided to finish and gift this quilt...it is the one I designed with her and her love for the ocean and the site where their vows will be taken. I couldn't have done it without all of your words of encouragement!

NOW! AS Rebbeca said: "It's Sunday, bring on the pictures." ;-) I took them outside just as it started to rain and the quilt seems monstrously large since I have never made anything larger than a twin.

So you can find the pics here:
