i could be wrong, but i think the colors in the quilt you are making will make a stunning - and well coordinated - focal point within the color scheme of her bedroom.

a few accent pillows to tie it all together might make a great gift for the next ocassion. :-)

you might also consider a pieced back for it made especially in her color scheme. just make sure to bind it with a color that suits both front and back.

who would not love two quilts in one?
    I love this solution :D:D:D

Definitely forge ahead. I know there are a lot of people like me who change our bedroom colors constantly and I am sure she will love it.

It seems to me that you have chosen colors that would actually be complementary with the colors of their bedroom! Go for it!!!

Stunning; such beautiful colors! I'm sure she will absolutely love it. If you feel like it, you can always make her a rag quilt in those other colors in a lap quilt size for her birthday or Christmas or something.

She will love this quilt your making. Sometimes others have no idea about quilts. When she sees this one, she is going to love it!! She may even change her colors in her bedroom to match!! I know I would/did.

My dear MIL sent home a quilt with my DH many years ago(at least 10-15yrs ago). I did not have one color in that room that matched it. That quilt was placed on the bed, and is still there after all these years. I would not trade it for the world. She will feel the same way about this quilt.

So here is a gentle kick, get busy and finish it.

She will love it. Yes she like the rag one put she hasn't seen this one yet to love it. Paint is an easy fix if it doesn't go with the color and she can propably through in pillows, pictures, trow rug to make it all work. She will remember your gift and you forever.
When I get in a slump and don't want to finish or even get started I like it when a sew with friends to get me going. Invite a friend over and have a sew day.
